6 festivals to cure your post Splendour blues

Feeling that post-Splendour blues? We get it.

But just because your Splendour bender’s over doesn’t mean the festival vibes have to stop there. Especially when there’s a stack of HUGE festivals coming up. So we’ve created a list of our top 6 fezzys coming up to get you keen all over again.

(p.s. Don’t know what GiggedIn is? Click here to find out more.)

1

LINEUP: Wolfmother. The Dandy Warhols. Eskimo Joe. Sneaky Sound System. Magic Dirt. Jebediah + MORE.

Scene & Heard this year is expanding from its home in Newy and landing in Brisbane & Cairns. And with a lineup that juicy, we reckon Queenslanders would be pretty stoked. With some HUGE Aussie names on the bill and The Dandy Warhols coming along too, we’re getting pretty keen for a massive throwback to the early 2000s.

FESTIVAL DEETS: Newcastle Wickham Park. Sunday November 10th 2019.

2

LINEUP: Brockhampton. Kaytranada. Lizzo. Madeon. Jax Jones. Octavian. Rico Nasty + MORE.

Holy sh*t this one is HUGE. The legends behind BOOGIE and SWEET are back, headlining FOMO2020 so you can start the new decade right. And if that wasn’t enough, they’re joined by the incredible Kaytranada (whose new track ‘Dysfunctional’ is an absolute tune) and unbelievable Lizzo. Safe to say we got our tix sorted as soon as the lineup dropped – not sure what you’re waiting for…

FESTIVAL DEETS: Sydney, Parramatta Park, January 11th 2020. Melbourne, Melbourne Showground, January 12th 2020.

3

LINEUP: The Presets. The Rubens. Vera Blue. Lime Cordiale + MORE.

You’d better be heading to the slopes this August because if The Rubens’ set at Splendour was anything to go by, you’ll be missing out on an absolute ripper of a weekend if you don’t get to Snowtunes. There’s a little bit of everything for ya: Slowly Slowly, Trophy Eyes and WAAX if you’re into punk/rock or ShockOne, Touch Sensitive & Dena Amy if you prefer a bit of electronic. Take your pick but don’t sleep on these tickets because our first release sold out in 30 mins.

FESTIVAL DEETS: Jindabyne, August 30th & 31st.

4

LINEUP: Golden Features, Alex Lahey, Hermitude, NGHTMRE, Northeast Party House, Slumberjack, Thundamentals, Peking Duk + MORE.

We struggled with not typing out the ENTIRE lineup just then because it’s seriously THAT. GOOD. If you haven’t seen Golden Features yet – hurry the f*ck up. You have seen him? You’ll know exactly why you need to see him again. And if that’s not enough, Middle Kids, Meg Mac, Enschway, Didirri, Peking Duk… literally everyone on this lineup should be enough to make you drop anything you’re doing and grabbing a ticket right now.

FESTIVAL DEETS: Newcastle, Wickham Park, Saturday November 9th.

Call up your wine pals, jump in the car and head over to Grapevine Gathering to wine, dine and have a boogie-filled time. Set in the luscious Roche Estate & Grapevine Estate, Grapevine is a stellar festival year after year and the best excuse to get your booze on because wine is classy, no?
